Was a lil worried after waiting 6 weeks for my 308 bcg but it’s works perfectly The Good.. duel ejectors works flawlessly, tolerances were spot on through out the carrier. Perfect fit into my BA Barrel. The negative.. One of the duel ejectors had a lil rust inside the channel but didn’t effect function , the bolt is magnetized from the factory but that’s from the MPI particle inspection so both good and bad, carrier is rather sharp and the cam pin is showing polishing after only 20 rounds

threw it in my aero build ran great no problems
ball 147 nato /imi 175 match /175 gmm/ 175 laupa match
tried everything i have and it ran great
cleaning it is as easy as it gets wipe it off 5 drops of oil (not necessary) back to wasting ammo
also with the new bolt accuracy did not change ( 200m no change)
to be fair i have never had any problems with this rifle just bored tried something different

Had this sucker about a year now, works great. I don't use their carrier, I put this bolt in a titanium carrier, but the bolt is everything I want it to be.

The dual ejectors solved my ejection reliability issues. Issues MANY large ARs have, the single AR15 size ejector used in most bolts just isn't enough for larger .308 brass.

I'm a big fan of their unique bolt lugs, I use both this bolt and their Relia-bolt in my silenced rifles. Silencers on ARs can get the inside of the barrel extension where the lugs must rotate rather fouled. Standard lugs have to push through that fouling and it slows the action causing problems. These bolts just trudge right through the fouling like it isn't there. Whether you run a silencer, are concerned about debris, or just want to go many thousands of rounds without cleaning this bolt will vey much help.

One thing of note, Sharps doesn't mention in their description that their bolt uses the "high pressure" firing pin standard. This is smaller hole in the bolt for a smaller diameter firing pin designed to prevent primer issues in high pressure cartridges. This is a good thing, but it means most firing pins will not fit, they must be the high pressure version. This of course comes with a pin, but need to be aware if you have or are buying something like a titanium firing pin.

I was looking for a BCG to finish a 6.5 Creedmoor build. Lots of $120 units available on line, however, all of them had Mil Spec firing pins which do not work well with the 6.5 high pressure rounds. One very large manufacturer has a small firing pin model, but fortunately for me they were sold out everywhere. Another company makes a bolt and sells it for the same price as SRC does for the entire BCG!!.

I said fortunately because if one of those other BCGs was available I would have bought it, not knowing about SRC. I happened upon the SRC website when searching for a "DPMS bolt carrier group". There was no mention in the main description of the firing pin size (which should be put in huge bold letters), and if I had not scrolled down to the technical data I would not be writing this review.
Not believing what I was reading, I contacted SRC to confirm the firing pin size. I spoke with Colby on more occasions than she probably liked, but she was always accommodating and conscientious in getting me the information that I requested and even took a picture of the bolt face. Once ordered the BCG arrived in Virginia 5 days later.
The BCG is unbelievable in finish and function. After 100 rounds today it looked like I just took it out of the box, and cleaned up with the wipe of a cloth. Not a single primer pocket crater or pierce. I own and have built over 15 AR style rifles and am sorry that they do not have SRC BCGs. Because I know now that if something goes wrong, it probably won't be the BCG. Thank you SRC & especially Colby for making sure that I have the best BCG for my build.

After reading the review from Rick Rodriguez I would like to know if the Upper/Lower fit is tight or is there a pretty good gap between them. I have never had an issue with any of my SRC BCG's but I have noticed that you need a nice close fit between the Upper and Lower Receivers. With the rear of the Sharps BCG being a bit larger in diameter you need very close tolerances otherwise the top of the BCG will rub on the inside top of the Buffer Tube causing the issue you are talking about. It amazes me how many people will settle for less that perfect fits between the Upper and Lower and then start blaming the other components for these type of issues coming up. And putting one of those little ruddbe wedges in there to stop the rattle makes it even worse because now you're forcing the two receiver parts even further away from each other causing an even bigger issue. If you are having a tight cycle issue, try wrapping a bunch of strong rubber bands around the rear of the Upper and Lower and then try shooting again. You might see that fixes the problem. If so then you need to talk to you Receiver supplier, not the BCG company. This may not be the problem but I have seen this fix the issue for a lot of people. There is nothing wrong with saving a few bucks, but never settle for anything that is not a nice tight fit between the Upper and Lower Receiver. When the have a gap that you can see daylight between them, you are certain to have components wear out a lot fast because you are going to have friction in the Buffer Tube. A mil-Spec BCG is smaller in the rear than the Sharps BCG. Just food for thought.
