Previously I was a huge fan of the brand that cost twice what this one does and has a mirror like finish. I needed a bolt carrier for my coyote gun and tried this. It is an amazing bcg and didn’t even have to change my gas block from the other brand. In my opinion this is the best tactical or hunting bcg.

The machining quality here is unmatched. It’s really well done. I am very happy with this purchase. So much so that I bought 2 bolts to swap out some that are worn slick. These will be the only bcgs I buy from here on out.

I was previously was running the standard bolt in NiB-X and loved it because it was softer shooting and made a practical difference in felt recoil compared to other bolts I've tried. I grabbed a lightweight bolt because I wanted to try DLC and this was all that was available, but I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't shot it a ton yet (maybe 200 rounds) to report on cleaning etc but so far most of the debris just wipe off. My only complaint is that with how few grooves on the right hand side due to the lightening cuts there are this bolt doesn't really engage with the jam enhancer (forward assist) but that's more related to my build and shouldn't be held against the product. 10/10

Best bolt carrier I would true to go hell and back with sharp bolt carriers..

I have to say that the no matter which one of the Sharps Xtreme Performance Bolt (XPB) you choose you just can't go wrong. They have got to be the best BCG on the market today and the chances of anyone coming up with a better one is probably never going to happen. Sharps BCG is so well designed and it functions very smoothly and it does make the recoil of your AR considerably softer. They designed it to be smoother and softer so that your other components will last longer and so you the shooter won't get beat up so much. The .223/5.56 and the 25/45 Sharps aren't much of a kicker regardless of what BCG you use but thew 308 line of products can get rather brutal and that's where Sharps shines in the recoil department. Because their BCG requires less gas to cycle the BCG you can use an adjustable Gas Block and really turn down the gas for a smooth and super soft cycle. And even with a fixed Gas Block the cycle is still smoother and softer than with any other BCG on the market. Sharps did a fantastic job and I give them a BIG thumbs up and 5 stars. They deserve it. BTW, the woman's name is Kim and yes, she is a wonderful person and she will always do her very best to take care of you. She is the best thing that ever happened to Sharps Rifle Company. She really knows her stuff and will always give you an honest answer. If she doesn't know the answer, she will be honest and say "I don't know but I will look into it".
