I bought a 18 heavey... awesome. My budy taljed me into getting the 24 hd barrel and built another. Barrels have 100fps over std rifling. Accuracy is outstanding with 87gr and 100gr with cfe 223 compressed load. Cheap to load with good bonded bullets and 3000fps with 87gr, and 100gr bonded 2800 plus with handloads. Grandkids love it and great energy levels to 300 yards. Can i say eastwrn deer killer with just barrel change. Love it! Will build more for grandkids! And super easy to load!

Love the caliber, however if sharps could have made a 100 grain hunting bullet @ 2700 fps, they would have had a winner with this gun. Would have extended effective range on deer to near 300 yards with 1000 ft lds. of energy. Handloaders are doing this easily. Most hunters prefer at least a 100 grain bullet for big game. They just never would commit to offering a fair amount of ammo choices. sad to see that they are obviously going to discontinue this round, since they no longer offer ammo.

I am concerned.... Ammo has been out of stock for several months now. Sent emails inquiring, but no response? Are there any manufacturers out there making 25-45 ammo? The gun is useless without ammo? Still very much in love with this caliber and the rifle is outstanding!! Please help????
